The organization, Preserve the Valley, is made
up of the residents and concerned members of the DeWinton community that believe that the river valley should remain agricultural. As the city expands and with annexation the land should be used as environmental parkland reserve.

This issue affects all the residents of Alberta including future generations. If the river valleys are not protected from development, everyone will suffer as there will not be green space for our wildlife and people to enjoy the beauty of our rivers. Our tourism industry, which is so vibrant in Alberta, will suffer,
as we will not have this wonderful resource for
everyone to enjoy.
